Carolyn Ann Amend, of Norman, OK passed away on Monday  February 29, 2016 at the age of 64 years  young.  She was born on May 31, 1951 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  Carolyn enjoyed meeting and getting to know people for the long haul, had a passion for teaching and mentoring young children, both at Church and at work. Carolyn worked with some wonderful and special children at McFarlin Day Care for over 25 years. Carolyn is survived by her  brother and sister-in-law, Carl Edward and Paula Ann Kelsoe Amend,  nephew, Michael Jeffrey Amend, niece, Jennifer Michele Amend Lee, her husband Christopher Warren Lee, and their daughter Emerson Jade Lee; eighteen Amend-related first cousins, one Anderson-related
“uncle-in-law”, L. E. Wyrick, and three Anderson-related first cousins.

Public Viewing will be on Saturday March 12, 2016, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, at Primrose Funeral Home, in Norman, OK.
Public Funeral will be on Saturday March 12, 2016, at 1:00 PM, at Alameda Church of Christ, in Norman, OK.
Private Graveside Service and Interment will also be on Saturday March 12, 2016, at Sunset Memorial Park, in Norman, OK, following the Funeral service.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that primary donations be made in the name of Carolyn Amend to INTEGRIS Jim Thorpe  Rehabilitation Center in Oklahoma City, and/or the Alameda Church of Christ Children’s Ministry.  Secondary donations are also welcome to be made to McFarlin (Memorial United Methodist Church) Day Care.

Our class has sent at $50.00 donation to INTEGRIS Jim Thorpe Rehabilitation Center.

Tulsa Red Cross Volunteer Meets President Obama Posted: Oct 31, 2012

Donna Willison Head meeting President Obama on October 31, 2012 !

Just found out that Cruella was in our graduating class !

Another Who Zat ?

OK. So if you can read, you already know it's Gary Tom Scott.  And even though he graduated 13 years after we did, he's still a part of the 'Antlers Family."

Since this website is about friends and family of everyone from the Class of 1969, this is news for all of us.

First of all, Gary has a blog "Mr. Oklahoma at Large A Year to Remember."
To read his blog,  CLICK HERE.

Gary was  named Mr. Gay Oklahoma USofA at Large in September and will be competing for the National Title on November 8 in Houston.

Gary is on Facebook for anyone wanting to stay in touch with him.  CLICK HERE

Gary says, "I am blessed that Lorianne Brown, Missy Tucker, Stephanie Matthews, and Carla Hatcher were all there at the contest in September to watch and cheer me on. It was heartwarming to have my childhood friends there cheering me on that night. Made it even more special to me to be honest."

How many of these classmates can you identify ?

Even though Rick Wells did not graduate in 1969, he is still an Antlers Bearcat,  a VERY successful Antlers Bearcat, and deserves recognition here.

If you are ever in McKinney, Texas, stop in at Rick's Chophouse, located at 107 N. Kentucky Street, and enjoy something off his menu.  (214-726-9251)

This is from Rick's Facebook Page:

" I would like to brag on our Rick's Chophouse team! We just received the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence for 2012. Please join me in toasting Ian, Donald and everyone that has worked so hard to make it happen! "

Rick's mom and dad are Wanda and Tom Wells who owned a restaurant in Antlers for years.

I still remember ordering their chicken-fried steak, green beans, mashed potatoes, and gravy EVERY time we ate there.

Just in case you don't recognize the older man in the second photo, these might jog your memory.

Congratulations, Rick, from the Antlers High School class of 1969 !

Many classes have begun planning reunions for this summer.  Class Creator is the best by far to organize contact information and to conjure up an interest in attending.  If you know of anyone who is in charge of their reunion, please direct them to the Class Creator logo at the very bottom of this Home Page.  By clicking on it, they will learn how easy it is to create a website like ours.  If that class creates a website and refers Antlers69 to Class Creator, we will receive $50 which will be applied to the cost of keeping ours up and running and for our domain name.

Welcome to the ANTLERS HIGH SCHOOL CLASS of 1969 web-site. It is a work-in-progress and will be updated on a regular basis. Here are a few reasons that it was created:

1)  to assist in planning our 45th reunion
2)  to locate classmates who are hiding from us
3)  to remain in contact with each other
4)  to post photos of our 40th reunion for those who could not attend

The web-site cannot be successful without everyone's participation.

To protect your personal information, your registration includes an option that allows only registered classmates to view your profile. If this option is selected, search engines and the general public WILL be blocked from accessing your information. Any registered classmate who is logged in, however, WILL be able to view ALL classmate profiles.

Class Creator, our site host, assures us that our site will NOT be subject to advertising, that information posted on our site will NOT be sold or rented to a third party--all information is strictly confidential, and that their spam protection system WILL protect us from spam.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to solely, covertly be an integral part of being an active member on the site and updating your profile on a regular basis.  Your computer will self-destruct in five minutes if you do not participate.

To those who are just visiting and may be planning a reunion, if you do not have a web-site, may I suggest that you RUN, don't walk, to the Class Creator link at the bottom of this page. This will take you to a step-by-step video that is easy to use. The technical support that you will receive is personal and faster than the speed of lightning. Brad and his crew are there to help you create a tool that will insure a successful reunion and also be a special tool to stay in touch with your friends.
